Our name, Aura, comes from the Latin word for "a breath of air". It embodies the idea of lightness and connection – two things that are at the core of our philosophy. We aspire to bring a bit of beauty and balance into people’s lives through the products we make and the relationships we cultivate.

Using our own brand of natural and organic products

 

Our products are made in Hackney with love in small batches each

week. With only the highest quality organic ingredients, they are

free of synthetic fragrances, parabens, sulphates, phthalates, and

other harsh chemicals. We never test on animals.

 

From body scrubs that are made with repurposed coffee beans,

sourced from local independent coffee shops, to face oils made

with repurposed strawberry seeds - we are proud to offer products

that are good for you and good for the environment. We only use sustainable packaging materials, and our products are recyclable, biodegradable and refillable.

Eco friendly brands we are proud to use in our spa:

Orly gel nail polish is both vegan and low toxic and the company is committed to being a sustainable company and we are proud to use it in our spa. They have switched to using recycled plastic in bottles and caps, eliminated outer packaging for retail products, and they use water-based polish formulas whenever possible.

Outback Organics is a sustainable and ethical wax brand that offers a range of eco-friendly, cruelty-free, and vegan-friendly products. The brand sources its ingredients from Australian suppliers who practice sustainable farming methods, and all of its products are handmade in small batches to ensure quality control. Outback Organics is committed to transparency and honesty, and all of its products are clearly labelled with full ingredient lists and product descriptions. Outback Organics is dedicated to providing the highest quality products possible, and its goal is to help make the world a more sustainable place.

Using recycled, recyclable or compostable materials and packaging

We've made a commitment to use recycled, recyclable or compostable materials and packaging in our spa, in order to help reduce the amount of waste that goes into landfill. We prioritise protecting natural resources and helping reduce pollution.

At our wellness studio we only use yoga mats and props made with

recycled, recyclable and biodegradable materials .

 

We strongly believe in using eco-friendly yoga mats to help reduce

our environmental footprint and protect our planet.

 

Our yoga mats are made with sustainably harvested tree rubber and recycled materials and are free of PVC, latex and other harsh chemicals. We also offer a variety of sustainable yoga props, to help you practice yoga in the most eco-friendly way possible.

 

We are passionate about helping our students connect with nature and live a more sustainable lifestyle. 

Our eco-friendly yoga mats and props are just one way we are helping to make yoga more sustainable for everyone.

 

At Aura Spa and Wellness Studio we try to remain sustainable in every way possible – from the products we use, to the glass packaging, right down to the little details like bamboo cotton buds and reusable bamboo cotton pads. We even have bamboo wooden eyelash brushes and nail buffers! We don't use any single use plastics. All our own branded products are made and refilled weekly. Not only does this save on packing but keeps our products fresh and free from preservatives.

Supporting fair trade practices is also important to us. We only purchase products that are made by companies that follow fair trade practices. This ensures that the workers who make our products are paid a fair wage and working in safe conditions.

We believe that by partnering with these types of businesses and organisations, we can create a more sustainable future for everyone. This even goes as far as the building we have chosen to open our spa in. Here East is continually improving the campus sustainability from energy to waste management through to bio diversity and we are so proud to be a part of their vision to support small eco friendly businesses.

We’re always on the lookout for opportunities to collaborate with others who share our commitment to eco friendly living and sustainability, and who can help us reach new audiences. We offer a variety of yoga retreats and workshops that focus on eco-conscious living.

We also run a free community meditation class to locals every Monday. We are passionate about making yoga and meditation accessible to everyone and firmly believe in its ability to help people with their mental and physical wellbeing. Our aim is to get people talking about these issues and letting people know that they are not alone in feeling the way they do.

We are constantly working to reduce our impact on the environment and operate in a more sustainable way. Our goal is to create a company that leaves a positive mark on the world, and we are continually striving to find new ways to reduce our impact.

We offset our carbon emissions and use green energy sources whenever possible. Our spa is powered by 100% renewable, net-zero carbon electricity . Our goal is to leave a small environmental footprint so that we can help preserve the planet for future generations.
